www.planetsoma.com
- fear and loathing in San Fransisco... My friend David Gwynn's website
with lots of essay, rants, journal writing, humor, and history. A must
stop for every websurfing fag!
www.groceteria.net
(did you bring bottles?) - Another site by David Gwynn, dedicated to
history of grocery chains/stores. David's passion for this niche of
americana is infectious and humorous. Lots of cool kitchy pictures of
old grocery stores David found while driving around the states.
www.drubskin.com
- This is the story a nasty gay skinhead and his website. Drub is an
artist who does lots of cool drawings of punks and skins and other scum
getting each other off. I really enjoyed the piece about Queer skinheads.
Lotsa journal entry's and other topics of intrest (like his vespa scooter
- how cute is that!)
Andy's
Bear Gallery This is a nice gallery of muscle bear drawings, and
some animations! His stuff is good, I wish he was doing comics!
www.tagame.org/home.html
Gengoroh Tagame, This Japanese comic artist is fucking amazing, and
nasty as all get up. Perusing through his galleries is a joy for those
of us who love smutty drawings of hairy butch types. I wish I could
order his books but it costs like a million yen!
www.hunart.com What
can I say about the hun that hasn't already been said...this site displays
his work rather crudely, but if you don't know the hun, you gotta check
it out!
www.macksf.com The
Burger King of all Muscle Bears. A Porno Star, and escort. Lots of pictures
to look and admire. He also sells a lot of stuff, like his own pornos
which he stars in, his used clothing items, and some really bad art
he does on his Mac.
www.scottmccloud.com
This site is like the hub for all that is new in the comic world. Scott
McCloud is a wonderful comic artist that has challenged this medium
and it's readers with his books Understanding Comics and Reinventing
Comics. A great site to find out about what's new in the world of web
comics.
Gay
Comic List Find out what other queer cartoonists are up to and stuff.
Lotsa of gay comic links that might lead you to strange and confusing
places.
www.howardcruse.com
Howard Cruise - Creator of Wendel and Stuck Rubber Baby, plus lots of
stuff I'm not really familiar with. But Stuck Rubber Baby is a fascinating
story, and this website has a great section on the making of this graphic
novel (a really, really, really long comic).
http://pages.prodigy.net/garyfloyd
http://www.rockreunion.de/interviews/floydinterview.htm
If I left my heart in S.F. it would probably be some where in Gary Floyd's
flat. Gary Floyd is an amazing musician and artist whose friendship
has meant a lot to me the last few years. The first link is a site dedicated
to his paintings and collage work. The second is an interview with Gary
about the music he has made in the past 20+ years in band such as Dicks,
Sister Double Happiness, and his current thing Black Kali Ma.
http://www.cbs.com/daytime/bb/cast_bios/mcain.shtml
- do you watch The Bold and the Beautiful?...of course you do! And whose
your favorite character on the show?..... C.J.!!!!!! Actor Mick Cain
is so cute with his punky doo and smug smile, who wouldn't want to give
him a big squeeze and cuddle!
http://www.thefrogs.net/news.htm
Rosy Jack World - The frogs are the ultimate gay (or pseudo-gay) rock
group ever! If you don't know the Frogs, this website is kinda vague,
but you can order tons of frog merchaindise off the site to get to know
them. I will just say here that "I'ts Only Right and Natural"
is the best gay/queer album of all time, and "My Daughter the Broad"
is one of the best albums of all time.
